You can send a fax directly from your NuPoint Unified Messaging mailbox in the Web View.
To send a fax from Web View:
Log into your mailbox.
Click on the Compose Fax button on the Messages page.
On the Compose Fax page:
In the Recipients field, enter the list of recipients (NP-UM mailbox numbers or fax numbers) to whom the fax document has to be sent, separated by commas. For external fax numbers, include any digits that must be dialed from your system to reach an external number (e.g. 9+number).
In the Document field, enter the full document name of the document you would like to fax, OR click on the Browse... button to browse to it. The file can be in either PDF or TIFF format.
If you wish to use a Custom Cover Page, select the Use a Custom Cover Page check box, and enter or browse to the cover page document. The file can be in either PDF or TIFF format.
Click the Send Fax button.
The fax has now been sent to the NuPoint Unified Messaging server for delivery. If the fax cannot be delivered, you will receive a message in your voice mail box advising you of the failure. A TIFF or PDF viewer is required to view and print fax messages. For TIFFs, you can use the Microsoft Paint or Photo Viewer application included with the Windows operating system. For PDFs, download the Adobe Acrobat Reader from the internet.
Note: The Fax feature is supported on Microsoft Windows. However, when you open the TIFF file using Photo Viewer or Microsoft Paint on some Windows platforms (such as Windows 7), you may see horizontal black lines running through the image. To avoid this problem, use another program to open the file.
