You can record one primary greeting and up to three conditional greetings that callers hear when they call your mailbox.
On the Greetings tab, select the greeting that you want to record, and click Record. If you have set your Call Me number in the Settings tab, the system will call your extension so that you can record a name over the phone. Otherwise, the system will prompt you to call into your mailbox.
In the Record Greeting window, click Record, and then record a greeting.
Click Save.
Note: Click Play to listen to your greeting before you save it. Click Record to re-record the greeting, or Stop to end the recording session or end the greeting playback.
To make a greeting your primary greeting that all callers to your mailbox will hear, select it from the Active Greeting drop-down list, and click Update Server.
Note: Greetings that you recorded through the phone tutorial will also appear in the list. You can also select any of these as your primary greeting.
Select a greeting and click Rename.
Type a name and click OK.
Provided you have FCOS bit 161 (Conditional Greetings), you can toggle conditional greetings on or off in your TUI by selecting Enable Conditional Greetings/Disable Conditional Greetings.
The following conditions dictate the information displayed in your mailbox.
Conditional Greetings Are Enabled
If you have FCOS bit 161 and conditional greetings are toggled on in the TUI, you can:
See the actual greetings names (Primary, No Answer, Busy, and Forwarded)
Play and record greetings, but not rename or active them
Disable conditional greetings
The Primary Greetings Is Enabled and You Have FCOS bit 161 for Conditional Greetings
You will see the default greetings (with the names you applied) in your mailbox and can toggle conditional greetings on or off in your TUI.
You Do Not Have FCOS bit 161 for Conditional Greetings
The user will see the default greetings (with the names you applied) in your mailbox and will not be able to toggle conditional greetings on in your TUI.
