This passcode allows you to access your phone applications, such as your voice mailbox and Hot Desk phone. The default passcode is set by your administrator.
NOTE: We recommend that you change your passcode only from the end user portal. If you change the passcode (User PIN) from your Hot Desk phone, the passcodes will be different (out of sync).
Passcode changes are applied as follows:
If you change your passcode from this page, the change is also applied to your MiVoice Business voice mailbox, Hot Desk phone, and Phone Lock feature.
However, if you change your Hot Desk User PIN using the SUPERKEY menu on your phone, the change is NOT applied to your MiCollab account, voice mailbox, or Phone Lock feature. In this scenario, your Hot Desk User PIN will be different. To reset your passcodes such that they are all the same, clear the Hot Desk Login PIN using the SUPERKEY menu on your phone.
NOTE: If your administrator changes your Hot Desk User PIN from the MiVoice Business system administration tool, then the Hot Desk User PIN will be different from this passcode. Contact your system administrator and ask to have your Hot Desk passcode cleared from the system administration tool. Your Hot Desk User PIN will then be reset to use the passcode that you configured from this page.
For MiCollab on on-premise deployments: If you change the passcode from your voice mailbox telephone user interface, the change is also applied to your MiCollab account, Hot Desk phone, and Phone Lock feature.
Your passcode must:
consist of digits only (0 to 9)
be from four to ten digits in length
not match your mailbox number or any other company extension number.
not be easy to guess (for example, 1234).
not contain the same digit repeated more than three consecutive times (for example: 1111 or 2222).
To change your passcode:
Enter your old passcode and your new passcode in the appropriate fields.
Confirm your new passcode and then click Save.
